Not to be confused with Birmingham UK, the Sidewalk Festival will be held in Downtown Birmingham Alabama’s recently restored theatre district. The festival provides new films their audience may not otherwise see.

“Since its debut in 1999, filmmakers from across the country and around the world have come to Birmingham to screen their work at Sidewalk and have been thrilled to discover fresh, enthusiastic crowds eager to devour new independent cinema.”

The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWiFF) is a not-for-profit organisation based in the greater Chicagoland area. The festival seeks out bold and innovative filmmakers that utilize story elements in a new and exciting way, presenting character-driven independent cinema that is fuelled by the filmmaker’s passion for the art without large studio support.

LA Film Review awards C.T.R.L with an Honourable Mention in Editing

We’re proud to have received an Honourable Mention in Editing by the LAFR, a website that brings an industry level view of the broader filmed entertainment industry, setting themselves apart from celebrity cult.

“The Independent Film Awards were conceived in response to the growing field of independently produced films and shows we’ve been seeing on the festival circuit. Technology has now progressed enough to remove the major financial barriers to image acquisition. It shows, as the quality of the truly independent films being produced has increased dramatically.”

We were a little nervous and excited; it felt like we were secretly spying on the audience, like a fly on the wall!…..Hearing C.T.R.L being described as simultaneously fun, playful and slightly uncomfortable to watch is fantastic. That is exactly what we were aiming for, so that whilst entertaining we could raise awareness to issues that are relevant to our society and important to us. Ultimately, we loved the debate it spawned on technology, social media and privacy issues, the underlying theme of C.T.R.L.
